Well, people pay stupid prices for vintage Gibby's. This piece of sh!t isn't THAT overpriced, but I know squat about the value of vintage guitars.

I just cant get it....Its in pretty bad shape. How can it command so much money. I've got an Ibanez RG370DX which is mint and 100times more nicer and I am trying to sell it, but could not find any buyers. What has this world become?

The world is fecked up. And yes, a mint 370 is a LOT nicer (though even a GIO can win on looks hands down). And if you think that this is overpriced, just check out e-bay for vintage guitars, and you will find some beat up crap selling for thousands.

I hope your not compairing a $300 guitar to a vintage Gibson......(no matter how beat-up it is)

IMHO, I think that Vintage Gibson is fit to be used as firewood. Sorry if I hurt anyone here who has that same guitar. To err is human, to forgive divine

Much as I dislike that particular gibby, you are way off the mark with your understanding of the relative values of instruments.

They beat the crap out of a new guitar and gharge you about $1000 to do so.

A pal of mine got one of those. I was with him. He wanted a tele, and there was a decent MIM one at the $500 mark and American ones for a few hundred more. He spent $1500 on a relic. This thing had RUST on bridge parts. I tried to get him to get one of the others, but no dice...

I just don't get it...
