thought I try PRS also

so I had the chance to buy for cheap both a used US and import:

a Mc Carthy

and a SE Tremonti

I had to say I was really impressed with both..

I also had a PRS SE camo but that looked and sounded nothingwise like the Tremonti, so it got tossed out.

So, what is your experience with PRS in terms of used ones..
which are the ones to go for in your opinion ?

Both are very sharp!

My experiences with prs have all been pleasant, they just aren't a gigging guitar for me.

I've tried late 80's customs, most se's (i really like the custom 24 se models with trem and wide thin shape neck) Se paul allenders (also great), my favorites have got to be Mccarty, Tremonti (non se), and the 513 rosewood.

The 513 rosewood in orange is the nicest production run guitar i've played in quite some time.

All in all i'd go for the one that fits me best, seeing as they offer numerous choices in finishes, materials, pickups, and cost
(whale blue mccarty's and 513 rw's ttake the cake for me though).

I love PRSs, especially the CE24's and the Custom 24s. Very versatile gigging guitars

I've got an '87 Standard and an '86 Custom - both geets are to die for!!!
The '87 is all mahogany and in vintage cherry color - not so sought after amongst collectors (still, prices are heading waaaaay up). It's got one of the best tones I've ever heard (fat, but very distinctive) and IMO the price/quality ratio is the best in the field of pre-CNC PRS'...

Pardon my moment of praise...
