tung oiled jem project ??


heres a project im working on . going to get a 570 neck natural headstock black jem logo.it is (basswood) i wanted the contrast of light body on rosewood neck and cheaper than paint.

That just means theres nothing for it to pick up in the immediate area. Take it somewhere with a bunch of flourescent lights.

Shielding is the right idea, you can get a can of the shielding paint from StewMac for fairly cheap, and getting it in all right places quickly is a breeze.

That guitar looks pretty nice A 570 neck is a good choice, but a little color wouldn't hurt it.

so volume\tone cavity , and jack cavity and middle pickup cavity is all to shield right ?

Shield all pickup cavities, not just the middle... Youre already there, paint in hand, why skimp?
