Vai Flame Guitar Available Once Again!

GMW Guitar Works has now added the Flame guitar, to it's line of "Rock Replicas"! If you all don't already know, they also make replicas of the Green Meanie. Two actually- One with the lower horn with the extra deep cutaway, and one like it originaly was.

Here's a link- http://www.gmwguitars.com/class/rockreplicas.html

Yeah I'm planning on ordering one of their Green Meanie's later this year. Since I miss having a Fender like guitar, but am Floyd Rose user. Plus I want a sustainer in the guitar and the lion claw is going to be pink and the headstock will not be painted at all. Plus it will be LEFTHANDED!!!!

Regards

André

André- Sounds like it's going to be a great guitar! Let us know when you get it! Everyone I've talked to, that has ordered a guitar from them, said that it takes a good year for them to complete a guitar, so I hope you don't go too nutty during the wait!

It'll be worth it, though. I don't remember anyone ever saying anything but good things about their work!

Shaun- You're right, it should have 24 frets... That's a bit of a bummer, and I recall someone saying on the Jackson/Charvel forum, that GMW doesn't do 24 fretters. That must be why.

As far as access goes, there's so much wood removed from the flame guitar, that it wouldn't make a difference either way.

Yeah, I think you'd want to be carefull you don't drop it... Too many times.

As for a Jason Becker guitar, who knows. I bet you could find a used Hurricane for close to nothing, though. He played Carvins later on, so you could even contact them, about having one made like he played.

Man, everytime I think about Jason, it makes me want to cry... I'm glad, and amazed, that he's happy. He's much more of a man then I...

yeah itīs such a tragedy it makes me cry just thinking about it.

I know about the Hurricane guitars he used on his debut album and later the carvin guitars but I mean the signature prototype Peavey made for him. ( Still Iīd be happy to score a Hurricane or a Carvin any day too... )
Iīd love to see the Peavey Jason Becker Model in production coz I think itīs better looking than the Jackson signature prototype (shown @ jasonbecker.com). I think itīs such a shame they decided not to produce it in spite of Jasonīs wishes. Itīs the least they could do to honour one of the greatest talants ever...

I have an old issue of "Guitar for the practising musician" with great pics of the Peavey JBM and Iīm thinking of making a copy of it myself. I want one so bad...
