The store that I used to manage carried the Vester line in the late 80's/early 90's. They made entry-level guitars aimed primarily at kids who couldn't drop big bucks on the popular Ibanez', Kramers & Jackson/Charvels of the day. Dropping the Vester line was one of the first things that I did when I took the job. I'm sure that a few playable guitars escaped the factory, but 95% of all of the Vesters that my store sold ended up coming back sooner or later. Horribly warped & twisted necks were the biggest problem.
If you found a good Vester, count yourself among the lucky!
