Weird Neck on this one - Washburn A-5

Anyone every played a Washburn A-5? They look a little like an explorer body shape. Guitarist in Quiet Riot used one back in the day. The guy who sold it to me said it's called a "speed neck" and it comes to a V and slides nice into your palm. I'm not sure I like the action on it, but it just feels so different than any other guitar I've ever played. I bought it anyway but I was wondering if anyone else had any info about it?

Never played one, but it sounds like its pretty damn similar to the Dimebag Darrell guitar.....

Isn't that the one thats got the headstock in a 90 degree angle?
Never tried one but I thought it looked cool in the 80s.

No, it was kind of a slightly smaller explorer with the last few inches of the points chopped off. *A pal had a yellow & black one. *I told him he was ready to join Stryper...

Sounds similar to the neck on the MMEB Luke Model. It's really fast and quite slim but with a pronounced V shape to it.

Yeah, the neck on the Luke is definitely V-shaped. *Good guitar, and the guy has good taste in bridge pickups *
