Weird scale

Hi, I just put a 22 fret mia fender neck on a 21 fret mim body. I measured the scale at 26 inches. I was told that if I changed necks that it wouldnt change the scale. any ideas?

You have to measure from the front edge of the nut to the middle of the 12th fret then double it to find scale length I think. A 21 fret Fender neck would be 25.5 in length, I think, I hope!!

I had to adjust the saddles, and it fit. Barely.
