it looks great and the neck which looks newer says that it'll play real well. aged guitars have so much character and contrary to some ppl not wanting ascrach on their guitars its got attitude, i can imagine myself with an aged instrument for sure likemy old fender sunnmustang...love the curves on the body like all HW1s...nice guitar dude!

I dont keep them I work on them and sell them. I do relics as a small business I started it last year and its going well

I currently dont own any relics LOL imagine that. Hell I dont even play guitar anymore I made the move to bass a year or so ago, but Jemsite is still my first home..

Here is a project im working on for myself.

Its got a transparent black back with a highly figured flame top in a slight amber dye.

I agree, but only when they're naturally beaten up over the course of a few years/decades. New guitars that have methodically been relic'd just don't really do anything for me. Just my opinion though.

thats the ground rule, if its old its got to be good, do not awaken dried and hardened wood by wetting it with paint...i say this because im the foolwho did it to my mustang

I'm still not into the relic thing but I'd say you did a great job. It looks authentic.
