What did Perry Bamonte play on the "Trilogy" DVD?

The missus and I caught a truncated version of The Cure's "Trilogy" concert film on TV last night, and Perry Bamonte used a sparkly silver Les Paul-style guitar with a Bigsby on several songs. The shape was slightly warped and skewed compared to a regular Les Paul. We couldn't make out the brand name because of the sparkliness, and I'll be damned if I can find even a small picture of it anywhere on the net. Does anyone happen to know what it was?

I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere around "Fascination Street." However, the TV version was less than an hour long.

I watched that on ABC last weekend! I too was curious about that Les Paul styled gutiar. Fascination Street plus a couple others had it.

Don't know about that show, but it sounds to me like you're referring to the Gretsch Silver Jet:

It also comes with a bigsby, but they don't have a picture of that particular guiar with the bigsby on their site. It's there though:

The Duo Jet is one of my favorite guitars. If my playing style didn't call for more diversity than what Gretsch offers, I'd buy a Duo Jet in a heartbeat.

I'm a big Silver Jet fan, but the guitar Perry was playing had an assymetrical outline. It's now getting fuzzy in my mind (should have Tivo'd it, dammit) but the area behind the bridge wasn't uniformly rounded - half of it kinda jutted out.

Probably a First Act. I hit Google Image and he had a Firebird copy from First Act and he's on their artist page.

I saw that too (and I bloody love Firebirds) but I think it was back when he was working with Aria. However I haven't been able to find an Aria model like it. It may have been a prototype I guess.
