What guitar?
I need a good shred guitar. I need a
floyd rose
(prefered) or a tremelo with good tuning stabiliy. I'm want good sustain, clarity, and harmonics. I've tried the ibanez prestiges, parker niteflys, jackson soloists, eb/mm axis and petrucci. The problem is that guitars can be way different at different shops. I can't make a good comparision even though I usually use the same amp when I compare axes. What experiences have you had with these guitars.

those are all very good guitars and they sound different cuz of the different cuts of would and stuff, no two guitars have exactly the same sound even if cut from the same tree. my best suggestion is just find a nice ibanez or jackson or whatever guitar and get THAT ONE. because you might not like the next one you play even though its the same model.

It sounds like you are willing to fork over about a decent amount of cash judging by the guitars you are considering. I would suggest that you try out as many different guitars as you can before you take the plunge. You should know that Ibanez offers the
edge trem
on most of its mid/higher end guitars, which I can say with confidence is the best Floyd Rose type trem available. I would check out some used guitars as well... older Ibanez S540's, RGs, JS, Jems, etc... Not to mention the other shreddy companies out there like ESP, Jackson, Washburn etc... I would stick with Ibanez though. My personal favorite is the late 80s and early 90s Ibanez 540s. They come equipped with the Edge trem, dimarzio made pickups, and the thinnest neck I have ever played. It definetely has all of the attributes you are looking for and then some.

Just remember, No other company than ibanez comes
even close
to a 'good' floyd type trem!

hmmm
I think all your options are pretty good.
but id put in a word for the jackson customshop (incredibile) and for the 'real' (NOT ltd range) ESPs, they are great, there is nothing wrong with an original floyd, ive got, edges, lo pros, and floyds, and they all do it for me. but as always, an Ibanez is a great axe to go for, especially the high end models!

In my opinion for a pure 6 string shredder the best things available are the RG3120 and the Jem 7VWH.
Used, these are the best bang for the buck. You wouldn't have to monkey with pickups because these sound great right off the bat. THey sound different from one another (mahogany vs. alder plus the different pups) but I would certainly give each of these guitars ample consideration.
