What neck contour?
Okay, so here's the story.
My cousin has a Strat, but they're in India going through Med School right now. So I'm hanging on to their Strat. For the past two years or so it's been sitting in my closet, and I'll take it out occasionally to make sure everything's been working, and to restring it; plus, no guitar should ever go unplayed for too long. But these have always been quick, 2-minute spurts of playing.
Now my Mexican strat's pretty much beat to a point where it'd be cheaper to buy another Mexi than to fix my old Mexi. So, to keep an electric in the meantime, I've pulled out my cousin's Strat as a temporary replacement, until I can get the money for a new guitar.
The thing is, I just realized that the neck on my cousin's strat is THE contour for me. I've never felt a more comfortable neck: it feels as if the contour was made for me, and I for it. Now the problem: I have no clue what back contour it is. It's a Fender fat strat from 2001 if memory serves me right, and I'm tempted to say it's a modern C, but my Mexican is a modern C and that neck feels a bit thicker. Is there any way I can confirm what neck shape this is, and is there anyone who can copy it?
I'd take the neck off of the strat, but the thing is, it's got a rosewood board (I'm a maple guy) and only 21 frets (I wanted 22).
