I dont know if anyone has heard of or seen these Caparison guitars but they are absolutely amazing. They are a Japanese company and they are real high end hand bulit and the look real cool. I got turned on to them cos I saw loads of my favourite bands getting endorsed by them (they endorse lots of melodic death metal and thrash metal bands such as Arch Enemy, the Haunted and Soilwork). They have great parts and pickups on them and look great and are really well built.

Ibanez rg 570 (thought it was a 470, then a 507 (??) then spoke to a guitar shop guy who knows his apples).

Ibanez DT 350 (1983, pointy all over with awful aftermarket pain(t) job, really nice guitar otherwise though)

Customs

1. HM Strat Reverse headstock. Alder body, maple neck/board. Schaller FLoyd 2, and locking m'heads. HSS, PAF pro (Bridge), 2X HS3. Fluorescent pink (really, really pink, really) Final stages of custom build, lacquer is drying as we speak, and almost ready for assembly. Still way over budget though!

2. Start of custom JEM. Rg body, gold schaller (not lo pro, dammit) will be flourescent something. Need to find luthier to make neck (must be reverse head), probably dot inlay maybe vine, definately some scalloped frets,

3. I will need to find a new girlfriend if I fill this spot with another custom guitar, apparently. Although I fancy building a proper JEM through neck. I will have to get the hacksaw out again.

Keeping the thread alive!

I have a custom Charvel model 3 '89 - recently painted with '03 BMW silver and it looks GREAT!
My main axe (until I got my Ibanez S2020ax) has been a custom '91 US Strat Deluxe w/ gold lace in neck and mid and now just changed from a JB Seymour to an Evolution (I'll get to try it out tomorrow!) in the bridge.
I am now at the beginning of two Custom Jems:
a mahogany body that will match the virtual Jem (17.jpg- from the "virtual Jem thread)
a basswood Jem that I'm really leaning towards a GMC swirl job and inlay - this one might take more than a year to completely finish as the $ will exceed over $1400 in expected costs.
I plan to post pics when available and will definitely be talking to LGM about the necks and Fede for the swirls!
