What should I do with my Les Paul?

I don't really like my Les Paul Studio. I think I can get around 900$ for it used.

I'm interested in what you guys would suggest for me in another guitar. Something with big cleans, and can handle a Rectifier sound well, too.

I'd like to have 2 humbuckers. As for a single coil in the middle, I'd like it to be there, but it isn't a must. If it has a floating bridge, I'd like it to be a OFR, or some high end Ibanez (like the Edge).

I just want to know my options for 900$. I already have a Strat and a SG.

I'm really quite open to anything.
What do you guys like for a 2 humbucker guitar for around 900$-ish? That's my main question.

Yeah. You're saying you don't like your LP, then you're asking us to recommend you guitars that match the description of an LP.

For what you said, I'd suggest a Gretsch.
Dunno about prices, however.

Really? Every 2 humbucker guitar is just like a LP?

Many things. The build quality sucks, for one. The sucker won't stay in tune. For a les paul, it also has a really thin tone. I'm looking for something with more "BALLZ"

also if you just leave it sit there for a while the headstock is going to snap off by itself. I read here that someone read it on the interwebs. As far as the replacement i suggest you buy my RG 550's reissue RFR with REAL DiMarzios. And Edge.

I was thinking about an RG. Maybe even a used Prestige.

EBMM anyone?

I have an Ibanez Iceman that I would choose over any Lp any day of the week. It's got more wood so it has that ballsy tone. The sam totman model has an edge. Even though dragonforce is kind of a joke imho but they designed a sweet guitar. I'd like to get one.

Get an Ibanez Artist prestige, or a used SZ

You also might want to consider a JS1000. They have the push-pull pots on both knobs so you can get tons of different tones.

Re: What should I do with my Les Paul?

I was thinking about a JS. They are cool guitars. The ones I played had a very Strat style neck.

I'm not really a 7 string person, but that is a neat guitar.

Re: What should I do with my Les Paul?

So, I threw my LP up for Swap/Trade on kijiji, and I said "Trade for Prestige Rg or players Jem". Within that hour, i got offers for 6 of the lower line Ibanez's (350DX, cheaper S's, and an unknown Ibanez). So I changed it to "just players JEM".

I saw a pretty nice condition FP go for 800$ on Kijiji about a month ago, so my trade isn't that far fetched.
