What's the ESP equivalent of the S?

I'm just wondering, I started looking in to ESP's recently and I like what i've seen. But, I'm not fond of thicker bodies right now..(my Epiphone Les Paul is irritating the crap out of me :P)

Anyways, I seem to have a feeling that these
http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_m2.html

have a thin S like body...but ESP are in short supply where i live so i'm not able to check myself

Thanks for any help.

also, i saw some videos of george lynch with his M-1 Tiger, and noticed the headstock is different (and IMO nicer looking), are these ones just available to him?

that body isnt that thick, and it has a comfort bevel

you should be fine
and yes to answer your question the m-1 lynch plays is probably nothing like the production guitars esp makes

Re: What's the ESP equivalent of the S?

So, which one is more or less like an S in terms of neck and body width?

Not dissing the S, but if i can't find one where i live (or in nearby stores) i may get an ESP..

M series ESP are not anything like an S series Ibanez in thickness. Nothing they make is. They are not super thick, but nothing near the thinness of an S.

I played an EC once and the body seemed thin, which was surprising . . .

The EC is definitely a lot thinner than most "les paul styled" guitars I've played.

I can't think of any non-Ibanez's that are like the S, actually.

I honestly don't think there's anything any other guitar manufacturer makes that can even compare with an S in terms of size and weight. Those ESP's are closer to an RG than an S.

Re: What's the ESP equivalent of the S?

^hmm I'll have to take that into consideration.

I wish one of the guitar stores here would get a S in. I'd be over there in an instant to play it.

When/if (curse you projects i got assigned otday) i go to Ottawa I'll be on the lookout for an S/ESP @_@

Jackson had one in the late 80s or early 90s. It was called the Stealth (what a coincidence they both start with an S!). It's still not quite as thin, but it's the only one I can think of.

here are some pictures (and in a codebox, so it's not hotlinking!)
