Which Fender Stratocaster model is this?
- 21 frets
-
Rosewood fretboard
- tremolo bridge (6 screws)
- Color red +
white pickguard
- 3 single coils
- SN: N1025525
- Made in USA
And which guitar is more valuable, American Standard or American Vintage?

American Vintage is more expensive. Alot of strats are like the ones you mentioned though. Red and rosewood is somewhat Mark Knophler-esque though.

Re: Which Fender Stratocaster model is this?
21 frets would suggest that it's more likely a vintage model, not a standard
The serial number indicates that it's from 1991

Re: Which Fender Stratocaster model is this?
it can´t be Vintage ´cause the serial number doesn´t start with V. It can´t also be Standard (not American Standard) ´cause they´re made in Mexico (at least that´s what I´ve read). Could it be a reissue?

Good point about the vintage, it cannot be US Standard becuse they came with 22 frets.
I am trying to check whether reissues had regular serials or not...

Sounds like an American Vintage series, '62 with a rosewood fretboard. Need to see the tuners and
bridge saddles
though to tell, if you look at them and they are a flat piece of metal that bends around on the piece the string rests on, and the tuners are small oval shaped tuners, I'd put money on that is a '62 reissue.
And the American Vintage is worth about twice of an American standard strat. The American standard strats are crap... the necks feel cheaply made like the Japs or the Mexs do and not like the higher end US strats!

is the pickguard 3-ply or just 1 layer of plastic?

I don´t think it´s Vintage, because Vintages have V in front of the serial number.
It has 3-ply pick guard.
Did they ever make American Traditional in red (hope not...)?
