Who copied who?
Stumbled across Fernandes' site and what does this shape remind you of? Note the colour choice too...

Are you refering to the Ibanez VBT700?
The Vortex has been around for awhile.
Before that, the King V
Before that, etc. etc.
It all goes back to the Gibson. Who really cares?

Re: Who copied who?
on a side note, that has to be the worst V shape since the Carvin V with the long point on the bottom and short point at the top.
This one

Yes, I believe that the Carvin can only be played if you have a heavy dose of Aquanet in your hair and a light smattering of spandex everywhere else.

Re: Who copied who?
I thought the bottom point used to stick out even more, but it's been a long time since I've seen one

I'd still take one. I have horrible taste in guitars.

Re: Who copied who?
That's pretty bad too.
I was always afraid of stabbing myself in the nads every time I saw that Carvin V

Re: Who copied who?
I was referring to that explicit shape e.g. how it curls at the horns/ends, not just the v-shape overall.
