Why is whammy bar a tremolo?

I think the effect of whammy bar is vibrato while tremolo is variation of volume, not pitch. Just wondering

And it's never tremElo

You're right. So why is the tremolo effect on Fender amps called vibrato? Why is humbucker splitting called tapping? Why is rap called music?

...questions to ponder... ;-)

Why is the the output jack of a guitar referred to as an input jack?

The electrical signal comes out of a guitar, not in. Am I correct?

Why is the head stock called a HEADstock? You don't have your head attached to you NECK, right?

Ummm...well, assuming that we're all humans here, the head SHOULD be resting upon/attached to the neck

That's not human at all. We have our heads resting upon our shoulders. Wouldn't it be funny if we called it a handstock.

Awww I don't believe it! LMAO! I mistaken ARM with NECK... LMAO! It's because, in Brazil, we call the guitar neck the guitar arm, but we still call the headstock a headstock
