Wizard 2 type neck options for old Fender?

I have an old Fender Lead 1 which I believe has a similar neck design to many Strats. I'm trying to learn a little more about replacing the neck because my new RGT6EXFX (Korean) just blows it away for feel. The old Fender was my 1st guitar and I would wake it from it's slumber if it was a nice and fast to play as the RG.

According to this http://www.jemsite.com/jem/necks.htm is my neck a Wizard 2 USA? Or similar at least?

One place I looked was Warmoth. They have their "Wizard" neck profile which looks to have about the same 1st and 12th fret thickness as many Wizards. Someone said that neck was more Strat shaped, which is "C", right? Aren't Wizards supposed to be "D" shaped?

Also, when talking radius, would 400 mm be about equal to a 16" radius? Warmoth lists the Ibby radius at 12", but shouldn't it be closer to 16" to get a flatter Wizard like feel?

One more question, anyone have opinions on the Earvana nut? Guess it'd have to be 1 11/16"?

Thanks for your time

The Earvana nut is fine; I have one and I like it. For your Fender, does the neck feel sticky at all? If so, I would remove the finish on the back and oil it. That might greatly improve the feel and would be the cheapest thing to do.

I'll have to play it again ti see if it feels "sticky". I guess I never thought about how the finish was on the back of the neck. It has seemed like it was too thick though, just harder to move around the neck than the RG.

Warmoth replacement neck might be the way to go. Tell them you want it to be as close to the Ibanez as possible and they most likely can do what you want. Their multi radius "pro" necks are supposed to be pretty nice. Or just hang the Fender on the wall by the TV and play the Ibanez...
