WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
http://192.220.76.249/products/show.php?partno=0119800
Does anyone have one of these and does anyone know when the Danny Bonaduce bass will be available?

Re: WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
Fender never ceases to amaze me. They'll find any excuse to make a signature model. Seriously...what's so different from that strat vs. nearly every other
production model
strat of that era? With Fender's mentality, if some rockstar changes out their volume knob for something non-stock, that warrants the making of a signature model with a $1000+ price hike. Ridiculous.

Thats sad. Nice enough guitar but I'd have to take a carving knife to the sig.

Odd...I seem to remember (I'm that old) that he played an Ovation Breadwinner, not a Strat.

Here's how old I am
he did play a strat, but the ovation was a Thunderhead - that thinline Hofner lookin' thing. He also played some jazz box but not sure what... I always thought if Danny ever fell over he'd choke himself with the Ovation Typhoon bass - he had the thing on a necklace instead of a strap!
OK, now that I realize I know all that I'm gonna go stab myself in the eye right now.

Re: WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
Hey didn't Gary Coleman play a guitar on an episode of "different strokes". He should get a endorsement as well. I'm trying to visualize the dorks that would go out and actually place an order for the David Cassidy model. Soon there where be a forum dedicated to the guitar and it's master. Man....I'm feeling sort of whooooosey.

LOL, the Gary Coleman signature model would be cool! Now dont deny you wouldnt get one, lol. A cool idea would be if it had a button on it, and when you pressed it it said "What you talkin bout Willis?" lol

Re: WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
God Father,,,lol. A button would be over board.... However he could get hooked up with Morley and have the "whatcha talkin' bout" pedal made. Sort of a wa watha taukin bout thing,,,,with a new england style accent.
There could always then be the "Willis noise gate" that sounds like a jail cell door slammin' shut....

Re: WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
Um, I don't think that's real. I remember seeing this a long time ago, on the Fender Forum, and it was only a joke that somebody pulled.

Re: WTF???? David Cassidy sig. Strat
its a fake, just look at the http, they made a similar fender style page and hosted it on ip 192.220.76.249.
but as far as making overpriced signature models, i think ibanez could compete with fender pretty easy on that one (jem, js etc.. all guitars that should cost half of what they sell for)
