Xmas folly .
Got home pissed over the Xmas period and fumbled about on the bay .
I ended up buying this . Its a Warmoth Zebrawood Strat .
Warmoth make great axes , but this ones like a cross between Liberace and Forest Gump .
I was going to put it back through the bay . I had a dig around tonight and found a few bits . Its def a keeper now . I'll post some pics later.
Before.

Re: Xmas folly .
Now THAT is nice. I love how the scratchplate and bare wood makes the whole thing seem organic and natural.
Beautiful guitar
, can't wait to see some more pics!

Re: Xmas folly .
I've seen pieces like that - the ones I've seen you can just pull off.

Re: Xmas folly .
Much better with the new scratchplate. Don't like that trem cover, but otherwise it's looking sweet. Zebrawood's lovely - I like the EW Ibanez as well.

Re: Xmas folly .
I think it's a great axe Zoot. Oddly enough, I would've done exactly the same thing and put a
pearloid pickguard
in there. The only thing You might want to consider (and this is just for looks), would be to put back the original volume and tone knobs, as they would match the pickup covers quite nicely.
Congrats again!
Jimmy

Re: Xmas folly .
Thanks for the comments .
I got that tacky cover off . I had to take all the intonation screws out to remove it
I,m happy with it now , justs needs a better set up and some flashier
control knobs
.

Re: Xmas folly .
What would a tortoiseshell pickguard look like on there?
