Yamaha silent acoustic

I know you guys have probably seen these at Sam Ass and GC but if you ever get a chance to try one of these out DO IT!!!!! My local music store has one so I decided to plug it to appease my curiosity. 1 hour flew by and finally the sales vulture came up and asked me if I was going to buy the damn thing or just dirty up the strings. This thing sounds identical to a Taylor plugged in but plays like an electric. It also has built in reverb and all kinds of I/O functionality. Seriously, it's amazing.

Re: Yamaha silent acoustic

I've seen one up close, my music teacher at school has one. Didn't play it or anything but when he was playing, it sounded pretty awesome, plus you can remove those side planks I think, then its just a piece of wood with strings. Still though, pretty cool.

Re: Yamaha silent acoustic

I've seen one on a video. Lee Ritenour plays one in the "Overtime" dvd. If you have a chance to rent it or buy it, I would highly recommend it. The one Lee owns is the nylon string version but it sounds pretty good. I didn't know GC actually sold those, I'm going to have to go try one out.
