Your wife will love this guitar

Speaking of HK "artists", I am quite amazed by the fact that Nick Tse's passion for Vai and Jems/JS actually help out sales of Jems and JS in Hong Kong, as one Tomm Lee Salesman told me recently.

The sad part is guys come into the guitar store, see a Jem and immediately say "that's Nick Tse's" guitar :sarcasm:

I wonder why Hong Kong didn't make it to Vai's world tour list last year.

that's 1 of the reasons why I don't wanna buy a Jem7vwh

i) I don't want to hear people saying that "Hey, that's Nic's guitar"
ii)I don't want people think that I am or ask me "Are you Nic fans?"
iii)I don't like the neck and middle evo.....
iv)I already have a amazing PGM90

I am still waiting to see some real HK GUITARIST come out
I know there are many(e.g. Eugene
Pao, he jam with Frank Gambale in Jazz Club last month!)
But they need to be HANDSOME if they want to be famous in Hong Kong....
take a look at that nixhxlxx xse,
people enjoy watch him playing his guitar live with volume turn to *0 or 1
listen to the songs in his Cd that he wrote but are not recorded by him.............

um.......but he did help the growing of HK band
there are really more and more people playing guitars after he came out and very soon they would know who is a good player and who is not

um......let's wait for more great players come here....

grrr..........1 more funny thing about his guitars
I remember I saw a interview of him last year

that guy ask nicholas about his guitars
he point to the jem7vwh and said "I bought that guitar for about $20000+ and you can't find this guitar anymore."
then he point to the JS10 and said "I won this guitar from an auction on the internet,I paid about $50000+ for it."

ok,
US$1=HK$7.8

It's funny that you guys actually mentioned Nic here. I was just at the record store and saw him playing a Jem7Vwh on the big monitor...I've seen him also with a Flame Guitar Replica...quite nice actually, I must admit. But I for one, do not follow the Chinese music scene, I am quite curious to hear what his playing is like. Any shred? LOL!

I've heard Eugene Pao...Walter Mak sent me an MD containing some of the coolest Fusion Licks I've ever heard...besides Gambale he's also played with John Patitucci...Very good player.

Chris.

If Nick did in fact play what you hear on the Bossini TV ad on that Steinberger, then I'd say he's not too bad... Otherwise, he's just another rich kid who's got tons of great axes and a killer babe for his girlfriend... (faye wong)

And I don't really think much of his singing either...

My flatmate is from Hong Kong and has one of his CDs... no shred, guys - a bit like Bryan Adam/Meatloaf, but the guy is only twenty.

The Hong Kong music scene is quite different, apparently. This guy is popular because he actually writes his own music. Progressive rock (i.e. cheese) is quite popular, judging by what my flat mate listens to.

Christopher - this is just a comment in passing, probably has no basis for truth, and could probably be accounted for in my flatmate's bad taste in music (he says as Limp Bizkit "Rollin" comes onto Winamp... :doh.

Oh, yes - one of the pictures on the CD case has him with a Chromeboy which he's bunged a maple neck onto (either that, or I haven't seen the model before...).

Re: Your wife will love this guitar - LV guitar~

speaking of nick tse shouldn't the guitar players such as satriani be mad at him for smashing their signatures for no reason , in the 1:99 concert SARS concert thing he smashed the JS1000 and said"i hate guitars with no sounds " !!???

woulnd't it be funny if satriani or vai just went up to him and challenged can't wait for that to happen
