I love him as an actor but when the cameraman said "strike a pose" I think he was looking for a little more directing

Frickin eh that's awesome imo.

Right, it's kind of random, but it has a good story to it. I'm actually a (converted) 24 fan, and it's a pretty cool guitar I think.

"Kiefer Gold" lmao that's one of my favorites (the name that is).

Nice features, pretty good looking, hell I want one. Probably won't shell out the dough though .

Yeah, it does look nice doesn't it?

The price will be Gibson Custom Shop Signature like, which will be accesible to who? Well-off Sutherland fans? I thought that Schecter's Tommy Lee signature guitar was bad enough. Well, as long as there's a market for it.

Ummmm - yeah, I saw that, and it just confirmed my (and a lot of other people's) opinion that good old Henry Juskewitz (sic) is as mad as a church hare. Henry comes from corporate world, he's basically a thinly disguised stockbroker, and he's just tickled pink that he gets to hang out with the stars these days instead of a bunch of blokes in black suits - trouble is, Henry can't tell the difference between a "celebrity" and a musician.

I knew Gibson was doomed when I read somewhere that Henry wanted buying a Gibson to be a "lifestyle choice", reflecting the upwardly mobile aspirations of the kind of people he reckons should be buying his guitars.

Come to think of it, maybe that explains why most Gibsons (including Custom Shop models) are unplayable when they arrive in your local store - they don't have to be, because their not built for musicians anymore.....

Wake up Henry!

In the meantime, spend a bit less and buy a PRS!

It's no joke.

Kiefer is very serious about music in general and guitars in particular. He owns a great collection, has a studio and he and his wife run a record company/label to promote new talent that the majors are not interested in.

Sounds as good a reason for an "Inspired by"-model, as anyone else.

Hmm, never knew that. Might have helped if Gibson mentioned something about this instead of telling us that he's the guy on 24.

Speaking of signature models. I really like Gibsons Johnny A. signature model. It'd probably be the only gibson I'd ever buy. Aside from maybe an SG supreme. This one's not bad. I don't really understand why he gets a guitar. Although he is managing a rock band now apparently. They aren't bad either. I saw them on Letterman.

Okay, so now companies are putting out sig models for non-musicians who like guitars that are TV stars? If so, my girlfriend won't be able to wait for Summer NAMM, where Fender will unveil its "Grey's Anatomy" Telecaster.

I think it's cool to hear of guys you wouldn't normally suspect of being guitarists getting nice guitars. I'm pretty surprised they named a model/color after him, but that's Gibson I suppose. Whatever!

lol, dont worry, im sure the folks at gibson didnt know he could play either...

But this "inspired by" thing is funny... sounds like anyone whos anybody and has at least a couple fans orders something from their custom shop, it will become some kind of signature model...

I think its cool!

I am a big Kiefer Sutherland fan (24/his films), and I know he is into his music very much. So more power to him if he can get Gibson to make a model "inspired" by him.

They will probably be made in very short numbers, and I wouldn't be suprised if they end up worth something in the future.
