06 RG1527

Has anybody played a 2006 RG1527 I bought one from GC new they had to ship it from another store. I had it shipped to my house, first off UPS screwed me and I had to wait 3 weeks for my axe. When got here it was jack the tremelo was only sitting in one trem post I had to loosen the string tension to get it back in place. And there were two paint chips on the rear by the stap button. However after about two hours of setting this thing up it played great. After playing it for a while I noticed a slight pit in the neck around the third and fourth fret. By now I was pissed off because I paid $800 for new guitar that was ******. Well i went back and they ordered me a brand new one from Ibanez which i got today. This one just doesn't feel like it plays as good but I set it up just like the other. The new one also has the same pit feeling in the neck around the 3rd fret but its worse on this one. Has anyone felt this on there 1527 neck?

That's funny you mention that, because when GC shipped me my VWH, it came exactly the same way and I had to loosen the strings to get it back on the post also! Weird huh?

The trem is popping off due to the guitar being dropped. Please check them over carefully.

Why are you guys ordering guitars from GC, when you could have paid less from a family owned store that'll set it up for you, and ship it responsibly? I am talking about Drum City Guitar Land. I got my '05 RG1527, and while maybe not Rich-like in caliber, the setup was amazing and not so much as a smudge on the guitar. There's also Matt's Music, a site sponsor. Jeez, anything but GC! I'd return it, and pay the same or less from one of these places.

Re: 06 RG1527

No problem with my 06 1527 either. The neck feels great. The trem had to be set properly but apart from that it was in perfect condition. Mine was the first 1527 to arrive in Greece in 2006. I practicaly took it when the shippment from Japan arrived.
