Hey all,
* * * *I was just randomly jamming over some backing tracks. *I actually saved one. *It's my 2027 sounding real bad-ass. *Damn, i wish my new pickups had arrived though. *For anyone that wants to check it out, it is 1.5mb and i will email it if you post, or just email your me email. *(i prefer that over uploading some smaller, low quality RA to my ftp) *The clip is just under 3 minutes. *No piezo...but its through an ultra hot rig.

Great playing. I don’t know what amp you used, but no mater what you plug them into, I can always hear a bit of signature Ibanez tone. In this case the 2027 sings very nicely. I wish I had one of my own.

Thanx for the shred file, that was pretty great! I enjoyed the recording and I thought it was well recorded too!

What kind of recording gear did you use?

Unfortunately I DO have to argue about the Blue Voodoo

HAHAHA, yeah alot of people argue the voodoo... but damn, let me tell you- *With my alesis 30 band EQ i can dial up ANY other amp tone possible! *Its crazy. *Its like the voodoo is as the name implies. *Its pure silly putty at the hands of a gear head. *Mesa, why pay? *Marshall..nevermind...lets not get into those... *ANYWAYS. *In that i was just running to a Roland VS-840. *Sure 57 was my mic. *Aside frm that its all straight. *Guitar into amp. *

Nice, those Rolands are very cool.

As a former Crate user I know that the price/quality range is awesome. I agree, Mesa is a little pricey....

I use an Ampeg VL-50. Killer!!! However I think I will be replacing it with a line 6 POD pro. Not sure which power amp to use yet though...

I am also thinkin about the 2027, there is one left at my local dealer. I am just not sure about the piezo, it seems to add a lot of electronic components, that may result in eventual problems. What do you think ?

Nope, i dont think it will make for more problems. *The only upkeep is changing the battery for the piezo every once in a while depending on its use. *Its a great axe, and i dont think im having any trouble soon. *Ive also totally hot rodded mine. *Tone Zone 7 and Air Norton 7 are on the way. *I already have a custom 5 way setup, and 2 seperate phase switches. *I have something like 12 different settings on my guitar with the pickups. *And then the piezo. * *Pod Pro is good. *I have an older POD for travel here and there. *Its cool. *Doesnt have the TRUE tube feel, but its close.

* Since I am from Montreal too, I know where you saw the 2027...And me too, I am considering buying it..But since I just bought a house, and that I bought the S2020XAV that this store received at the same time as the 2027 and RG2020, I think I will have to pass on it....But man, everytime I go there ( I live two blocks from the store), it is the guitar I look at....

* Have fun with it if you decide to buy it...you lucky guy..
