27" 7strings

[7 Dying Trees]

Now I know Ibanez bought out the 1077, but I swear seeing a drop dead gorgeous 27" 7string ibanez with a quilted top in a shop a few years ago and have been wondering since then if it was a limited run, or wether ibanez made any others like it, or if they made any others besides the 1077?

Anyone have any ideas?

Think this is all the production XL's, I guess there are some customs out there aswell....

The RG2077XL is the follow-up to the RG1077XL.

Yes, I remembered that right after hitting the Post Reply-button. Still, I remember having seen some of these also, on a norwegian Ibanez import site, which unfortunately is closed down

I do actually seem to remember that there was some sort of a limited edition prestige, a j-custom, or an overseas model that had 7 strings and a longer scale. Not too sure about that though.

hmmm, it's weird as I distinctly remember that I saw an XL 7string with a nice quilted top and a salmon purply type finish. Was such a nice guitar, but i've never seen anything like it anywhere, and it was an ibanez. This is in about 2001 (first UK jemfest)
