Re: 7 String advice please

I really love my 1527, the stock pups are not so bad as anyone makes them. Eventually I went with AirNorton and Ev07... but did play the stock pups quite some time.

Re: 7 String advice please

I bought my 1527 a few months ago expecting to have to change the pickups when i got it after what i'd read, but they're still in now.

I love it, i'd buy another in a heartbeat if i needed a 2nd 7 string.

RG7321 - is a winner for the price!! OK the electronics need replacing but I own JEM's and still play this guitar more than the others !?! Great neck and build quality..good for an uber project 7 string!

Re: 7 String advice please

I'd say look for an RG7620 used. Its a great guitar with great playability and probably the nicest trem out there.

That being said if you don't like basswood you can always get a body made for it.

Re: 7 String advice please

7620 or 1527. both are very similar so you cant go far wrong, i got my 1527 new about 3 years ago and have only just swapped the bridge pickup for a tone zone. The stock pickups aren't that bad but there just comes a time in every players life when you just need that bit more

i like the 7321 in my opinion it destroyed the s7 in my test ,the only thing the s had goin for it was the trem, but i suggest all or the 7 string rgs and the xiphos 7 or if you can find one one of the rgxls ro a k7
