7 string pickguard

I have a Washburn WG587 that I'm customizing. I already have new pups, and this weekend i'm stripping the paint and redoing the finish...right now it is probably going to be a natural stain. But, I'm thinking about puting a pickguard on it for looks. Does anybody know what material I should buy to cut out a pickguard for? It will probably be black to match the hardware, or possibly chrome to stand out in the mix. Any and all suggestions will be helpful.

if you want a chrome pickguard I would just order one from pickguardheaven.com... I have never try to make my own pickguard but I would not think that it will come out as you expect it without the right equipment...

sorry I can't be of more help...but you may want to try to email pickguardheaven and ask them what material they use to make their pickguards.
