7 string pickups

Hey dude, I would personally recomend the Dimarzio Tone Zone 7, the Air norton don't sound too shabby, or, you'd have to do a little modification to your guitar for these, but the EMG 707's are definetly nice. When deciding on pickups, it's all about the sound you're looking for. What kind of stuff do you play, what styles? Check out my website to get some ideas, http://www.overfiendmusic.com I've got Tone Zone's in both of my Ibanez's, and am considering the EMG in my next Uni! If you have any questions, email me at greenmeanie777@yahoo.com. Have fun.

The question was where to get them...

they're easily found on the net. brian and www.universaljems.com is a forum member and can get you pretty much anyhting from Dimarzio. I've bought stuff thru him without any problem and his markup is nominal.

You can also go to www.***************.com if you don't mind dealing with a chain store.

If you are indeed looking for models, I have an Evo7 in my bridge and a PAF7 in my neck - makes for a nice all-purpose combination.

pickups

Thanks for the input. I now have 2 Ibanez 7420 lefty models and Im looking to try spmething different for each one. I into Petrucci and Vai. Getting some of their tones would be cool.
The lowest Ive seen on Dimarzio 7 string pickups is mike's music shop.com $58 for any Dimarzio 7 string pickup.

If indeed you're also fishing for suggestions...
To get closest to Petrucci: Blaze bridge, Air Norton 7 neck
Vai: Blazes...or an Evo7 in the bridge if you so desire.
