7 string strat build.

The winter weather and Ill health put a hold on my 7 string Tele build so after a few beers and encouragement from some old friends over Xmas I started on this 7 string strat .

Wenge 2 piece back.


Had enough Walnut left over from another build for the top.

Acacia and Mahogany neck and Walnut Finger-board.

I salvaged some of that smashed up Imbuya Burr-wood veneer that I got for my 7 tele for the head stock.

looks awesome fender should make these.
also the 3rd and 4th fret dont look seated well.

Please don't encourage me I've got 7 unfinished customs I've promised to myself I'll finish before I start anything else.
I did start doodling a template for an 8/9 flying V though

Routed the pickups and decided its about time I tried an arch top.
Everything lined up.

Marked the contours.

My router keeps jumping out of lock and causing havoc and the bit was as blunt as a dogs arse .
