Not many probably, I could probably end up doing them for half that price IF I ordered 50, but will I find 50 people to pay an extra $500 for an 8 string floyd right away, I doubt it and I can't invest $25,000 into 50 trems.
When it's a one off custom, no big deal, but for the same reason I don't use Ibanez
Edge trems
, you don't want to offer something you can't get on a regular basis.
If somebody really wants an 8 string floyd, I can do one, no problem, but the hipshot trem I offer with
locking tuners
is almost as good
How much are those 8 string hipshot trems?

A little off topic here, but check this out:
The one on the far right. A bass+guitar in one!
Kinda looks like a Bich/Strat hybrid, right?

Yeah, and they got some new models too. I really want to buy one. Oh well, luckily I don't have to eat the shipping costs if I buy one.

Too bad they don't do 7's. Well, they make gorgeous copies, so maybe I should email them a pic of the UV777P.

Their copies are really nice but the build quality is another issue
. Have you been able to track down any reviews of their guitars?

I haven't see any yet, either. Kamikaze, have you played one? Or better, have you played both an Atlas PRS and an actual PRS long enough to give us any insight into their overall build quality or feel?

Re: 7 strings, 8 strings...nah, 11 strings!
I've tried a Custom 24, but not an Atlas. One of these days I'm going to head to Thailand (which is possible, because my father's family lives near the border between Thailand and Malaysia, and we go back nearly once a year) and try it out. I'm going to buy it of course, 'cause my dad will be quite mad for driving me all the way there.
Ah, but enough about Atlas. Lets get back to giving snide remarks on that 11-string behemoth we saw earlier.

Re: 7 strings, 8 strings...nah, 11 strings!
I agree it's ugly. The sound clip does not sell me what-so-ever. Sounds to me like chords are pretty much nil' and all you can get are weird random notes soaked with reverb and delay. Hmm. Yea I can do that with 6 strings.
For show its cool I guess. It sure is unique. But if anyone actually thinks for a second that something like that would ever even develop a small cult following. I dont know. It would be stupid.
I gotta give props tho. That He/She/They had the BALLS to put a locking trem on that. Wow. Thats a big set right there. Imagine properly stretching and tuning that thing. Like many here, myself included, who can usually do that on a 6 string in about 5 minutes, It would probably take me at least an hour.

Once again, it is meant as an electric instrument for playing Baroque music, using particular tunings, not rock.
