7321 buzz

i just sold my RG7620, and plan on buying a RG1527. I currently have a stock 7321, which ive had for about a year now. It just recently has started to get a buzzing problem on the 3rd high string. i also noticed, my old 7620 (which i bought used) also had the same problem. does this mean its due for a fret level or fret mill? ive tinkered with the neck and bridge saddles. The other strings have no buzz and at most barely noticeable at all. But i cant stand that annoying zzzz sound when ever i play on the 3rd high string. ive heard that it can happen because ibanez necks are fickle and warp alot. ive also heard that the 3rd string meets the highest point on the frets curvature. Some simple help would do me much good.

And with a message like that, you just reduced your chances of help!

sorry, people act dramatically and unreasonably when they are in distress, which would be me in this case.

i quickly read this and had no idea what you're trying to explain. please rephrase in terms of frets and "g-string" "low-e string", etc... glen

it would be the high G string, and not any fret in particular, all of them i suppose.

More than likely the G saddle is set too low. Measure and set the radius of the bridge if needed.

the saddle is just as high as the others. also, i inserted a small piece of paper under the string at the nut. and the problem still persisted even though the string was elevated.

if i had the 7620, with a lo pro, how would i adjust the saddles? arnet they stationary as far as individual height?

if this is "recent" did you try a new string? that can easily create this trouble. i'm not 100% familiar with raising the saddle on the 7321 bridge, but the nut has no effect, except open string and it not buzzing on fret-1... glen

The g and d saddles need to be higher than the a and b saddles, which need to be higher than the e and e saddles. The fretboard has a radius to it that the saddles should match

my saddles have always been in unison and ive never had any problems with it thus far, well since like a week ago.

and when i get that 1527, will it develope buzzing problems like my last 2 guitars have as well?

...but I'll bet your action was higher on the outer strings than the middle, right?

honestly, i cnat remeber.
anyway i just raised the saddles, and now, unplugged, the guitar seems to have no problems. i will know for sure once i plug in later.

im still a bit confused on how this same problem can be solved on a tremolo equiped guitar, like the RG7620. Can you raise its individual saddles?

95% of Edge Pro bridges need to be radiused. 85% of Lo Pro and Edge bridges also need to be radiused. That's what they make saddle shims for
