the tickest string they for guitar is .046

my question is. Can i use a Bass string?

Well, you can use .056 or .060 with no problem, so I don't see why not.

Do a little research on the Internet and you can find what you're looking for. I use a 60.

Yes, I typically use between a .062 and a .065 B string. Sometimes they have guitar strings that thick, and sometimes I use bass strings. You shouldn't have any problem using the bass strings. You'll just have to trim a bit more of the string off than usual.

If you can't find heavy enough strings at your local store, try www.juststrings.com. They've got every gauge imaginable. That's where I get the 0.66s that I use.

Email me your address and I'll send you a GHS .060 to try. I buy a dozen at a time so I always have a few extras. My e-mail is jim@jimsoloway.com
