Active Bartolini PU's for 7 - any good?

I was pondering getting EMG 707's for my guitar, but I am not crazy about having to get it routed for them...are the Bartolini E494D active & string pick ups any good?

I don't have any experience with the active Bartolini 7 string pickups, but, I do have the passive (488CD I think) in my Rg2027. Very clean and clear sounding. Not as much gain as the EMG 707, but, still a nice overall sound and better cleans then the EMG 707
