Carvin DC727 on order...

...we'll see if an old dog can learn new tricks.

I went with a lefty DC727, alder body and maple neck. I paid an upcharge for a different wiring setup (it comes with a 3-way toggle switch and 2 coil splitters, mine will have a 5-way switch instead). The other options I went with are a birdseye maple fretboard, stainless jumbo frets, strap locks, gold hardware and logo, cream colored pickups and a custom paint color not in their standard list ($50 upcharge). It's called "toner white". Their standard "pearl white" and "classic white" are nice but aren't the white I like. I wanted pure bright white.

Awesome, man! I'm ordering a 727 as soon as I get the cash (completely decked out, I'm planning for it to be my "last" guitar. At least one that'll last me a while).

Yeah, this will probably be my last guitar for a while too. If they ever decide to offer the lefty DC727 w/ a trem then I'd have to go for one more.
