Re: Chapman Stick

I wish I had the dough to spend on cool stuff like the Stick. I alway wondered if I'd be able to play it. Congratulations and let us know how it is.

Some stuff will need to go when this arrives; it's not a straight addition to the collection

Re: Chapman Stick

I assume it's pretty straightforward; they have a fixed bridge on the bottom and tuning keys on the headstock.
10 strings altogether, 5 bass and 5 treble with the heaviest strings (and lowest notes) on the center two strings. The treble strings ascend away from center in 4ths, and the bass side ascends in 5ths, like a cello.

Re: Chapman Stick

Hey Jim seriously jealous!

well if you decide its not for you let me know. Ive been in the market for one (or a vigiere arpege I) for a while and seeing your recent purchase has spurred me into action again.

for those who want a cheap tapping instrumet you cant get cheaper then an RG7321! just get those frets well levelled crowned and polished and set the action really really low....
