Cheap 7 should I get it?

Washburn WG587 for about 200 new. What you think? Is it a decent guitar to make my first jump to 7?

I've never played one, so I can't comment on the quality, but it's being blown out in a few paces because it's been discontinued by Washburn. I assume that like a lot of builders, they're bailing out of the 7 string market. They were selling for close to $500 about 6 weeks ago, so it does seem like a good deal and at least one outlet is even including free shipping at that price. I believe that price is without a case, but still, I assume that if you don't like the guitar, it should be easy to get your money out of it. I've considered picking one up for exactly that reason.

The Epi has a 24 3/4 inch scale which I think is pretty much useless for a 7 string.

Good thing you are here to remind of such things. I never even thought that the 7 stringer would be LP Scale

If you can find a cheap Schecter hardtail 7-string, go for it, they're amazing quality for the price.
