The pickups of course will eventually be replaced with blk/crm AN
7 and Evo 7. I decided against a pickguard only because I have a 7420 body that I can do that too.

Re: Completed 7620....
Nice and clean look.
Is that a LoPro Edge 7 trem though?
If so, it's not set up right. The bottom of the bridge should be parallel to the body, not the top, now it is actually backwards a bit.

Re: Completed 7620....
Actually it's about mid-point which is how I got the guitar (took pics). Not sure what you mean though being that the action is about as low as it's gona get, I stay in tune, and intonation is correct.... So what your saying is..The trem should sit lower in the cavity. Which would mean my strings would never leave the frets....Just curious is all. Hold on...I just re-read your post....The bottom of the trem base should be even with the body.......Your actually saying that it is too low right?

Re: Completed 7620....
The angle is wrong.
Look at the pictures on this page:
http://www.jemsite.com/jem/trems.htm
The trem is basically wedge-shaped. The bottom is flat, the top is slanted.
So it has to point a bit upwards from the body. See?
You can look at the
tremolo bar
. The bar sits at a 90 degree angle with the base of the tremolo. So it should be completely upright.
You'll probably notice that your tremolo bar is pointing too far upwards when you hold it parallel to the strings, and when you turn it backwards, it probably sits very close to the body.

Re: Completed 7620....
Forgive my pride at times Scali and Dee. You were both correct. I pulled the guitar out this morning after reading your posts. When I switched to 10's (it came with 09's on it) I screwed in the springs mount a bit too much. Backed it out this morning and everythings fine. I see what you are talking about now. Vast improvement..Thanks a bunch..

Re: Completed 7620....
Well, I'm sure the specs you could look up at Ibanez.com considering the thing is completely stock at this point. I just was responsible for nursing it back to health is all. Everything was rusted badly. In about a month I'll be putting in the An-7 and Evo-7. All I did was take it all apart, sand it down, fill in the dents and dings, reshape the lower horn a bit ( the tip was gouged out) prime, paint, and clear....The color is CATerpillar yellow. Next thing i do will be to recondition the neck. I'll wait to do that when I install the pickups. Yes, it looks like butter...and also plays like butter!

Re: Completed 7620....
Yea that's great, Matt!
The trem should 'make more sense' now, because the saddles themselves are now level with the strings and body, and the
tremolo arm
should be perpendicular to the body. Hopefully it also plays better now.
