Whoa. Nice!
That your actual guitar, or just a similar model? It looks incredible! Is that a
toggle switch
on the lower horn, btw?

Yes that is my actual model and it is a toggle switch on the lower horn for the
magnetic pickups
. it is also dual output with a stereo output. the Bridge has LR Baggs piezo saddles that run as a completely separate system from the mags. The last knob controls the piezo volume. that output will go to an acoustic rig i'm gonna build.
It's similar to a RG2027 but less controls in the guitar itself.

I took a design to the RG prestige/Jcustom style vine and changed it a little to add my own feel to the leaf style and Kevin from Abyss suggested that it be made with a Koa vine, Abalone leaves for the main fret marker spots and red recon stone (to match the body color) for the small leaves where
fret markers
normally aren't. The fingerboard is made from Macassar Ebony, as is the
Headstock overlay
.
Thanks everyone for the kind words

yes it is an abyss. I've been working with Kevin for quite some time almost 10 months on it. I supplied him with the inlay drawing and everyhting i wanted it to do including neck shapes and color ideas. He was really great about working with me to build exactly what i want.

Very nice. I love the quilt top and the color, nice cream pickups and I like that neck and headstock too.

Abyss guitars, why does that sound so familiar?
