Custom RG-7 - (cool design I think)

Don't you think an RG-7 with these specs would be cool?

Flat Black Finish
Double Edge-7
EMG-707s in neck and bridge direct mounted.
No fretboard inlays
Flat black headstock with lit up IBANEZ logo (poss. *flickers like a bad flourescent light?)
3 vol 3 tone (one for each EMG and one for Piezo)
Kill switch
Choice of any of the three 7-string necks (Wizard 7, UV, or K-7)

I just think it would look really friggin' cool. *Would probably cost a friggin' bundle though.

Wow everyone loves a blank fretboard now-n-days.
Hehehe... I would go with something different then black...Maybe like a dark dark blueish color...Matching headstock. Fixed bridge...one EMG 707 in the bridge(everyone thinks im Dino!!)
i dont know about binding i think im pretty much staying away from it...and as for the construction...that neck-thru might make it a whole lot better.

Custom RG-7

I think this would be sweet:
* Neck-through body
* Glow in the dark binding on neck and headstock
* Black/grey nickel burst w/ matching headstock
* Ebony lightning bolt fretboard (glow in the dark lightning nlay)wizard 7neck
* double edge 7
* one volume one tone skull knobs
* Blaze 7 set( like the UV double single double)
* with a bod much like the JS (rounded off at the sides )
* Mahogany body
I think that flickering logo idea is pretty sweet but your right it's cost a s*it load of money

MAN!!! Is colour dead or what?!
I'd like one like this (incidently this is how I'm going to refinish my UV7BK since it's pretty beat up)
It will hopefully become a UV777VSK!
Shocking pink body with matching headstock and monkey grip
Pink vine inlay on Rosewood fingerboard
Green Blaze II pickups
Standard volume and tone control
Lo Pro 7 trem
Black pickguard with pink outline
Maybe a Green trem cavity, depends on if I route a lions claw in it or not.

Now, if it wasn't that it would be a UV777LNG, not the shade of green on the UV777GR, but the LNG shade.
but with a vine on rosewood instead of pyramids and it would have pink pickups, still Blaze II's though.

I just wish that bright colours weren't dead like they seem to be.
I'm so sick of black and grey guitars, I just want cheesy, flashy, flourescent '80's colours! Is that so much to ask ?!?!!? :biggrin:

I like the idea of a flat black paint ! *I would like to see a DARK blue like the color I painted my studio "Merlin" From Behr paints, kewl dark blue color in a flat finish, I might look into that. Also, I would go with the EVO7 p/ups double edge trem with flat black hardware or maybe a brushed gold finish on the hardware?
Again no inlays except for side markers and a skull and crossbones at the octave marker, and a gloss black logo on the headstock to contrast with the flat black paint. Kinda like the "black album" from metallica.

Littlegreenman, you're not alone in your quest for colours.
RG7 mahogany body
yellow with light blue binding, like the option on custom jacksons.
light blue bound ebony fingerboard with no inlays
matching yellow headstock with light blue binding
Seymour Duncan pickups.
fixed bridge like Rg7621

I would have to go with:

(Metallic) Forrest Green Body w/ white binding and matching headstock

Double Edge-7

PAF's

Emerald Green/Abalone inlays (Can't decide on inlay design)

These and other nice additions, whatever comes to mind, would make one hell of a sweet guitar in my opinion but hey........I think I'm just wishing for this. Ohh well. Can't a guy dream? *

Sounds sweet.

There are a few that I would have and I don't think I could pick one but Ibanez has come as close as they ever will with the 1077XL.
