Differences between the RG2027X and the RG2127X? - Are there

I'm on the Japanese website and it seems as though there are no differences aside from finish and model number. Are there any? Or is the 2127 just the next or new one?

Also, does anyone know the cost of shipping the guitar would be? My friend would be going through Ishibashi for it. Thanks.

Logic says they follow the 20 series mods with the addition of an EQ and the ability to run both piezo and magnetics at the same time. Of course, that would be an assumption

It's good to know they're still building 27's over there and they got the upgrade, even if they aren't available here. Then again, nobody wanted then till they couldn't get them

Well, as we all know, Ibanez and logic seldom mix.

The RG2127X came out about a year ago in Japan, and thus, did not have the electronics upgrade. *As far as I've been able to tell, the only difference is in the finish (trans black flat vs VV on the 2027.) *Even now, the Japanese Ibanez site makes no mention of an electronics upgrade for either 7-string model, although the RG and S 2120 are listed, with the new electronics.

so is the 2127x upgraded or not, cuz it says NEW on the site? can anyone find out or confirm this? maybe rich knows or can find out? thanks

p.s. i didnt start a duplicate thread, it was someone elses, but the stupid not working serach engine didnt find anything with 2127x so i started the other one without knowing this existed and then snakepit brought it to my attention that the thread was started.
