You'll need to route your guitar.
I suggest taking it to a luthier to have it professionally installed.

You might want to try the Bartolini 7 string pups. Very smooth when used clean and very thick when used heavy

They are available Thru All Parts. Item Number is 488CD (C being neck, D being bridge). Retail is $230 for the pair of humbuckers......I got them at 40% off which is $140. Not bad for these pups. They are passive by the way.....

Bartolini makes ACTIVE 7-string pickups, too, and they are standard size (No EMG 5-string base pickup case.) Check out bartolini.net and download the Adobe .pdf file on specs. There's a foreign Web dealer that you can order them, from, as well. Can't remeber the URL. Do a search on Google under "Bartolin pickups" or "Bartolini 7-string pickups". Should find it.

Wait wait wait...you said you ordered "One"?? *Won't that be odd mixing with a non-active pickup? *Or are you taking that out too?

That's odd, usually you have to have both pups be EMG's, because of the output difference.

I haven't noticed that much of a difference in the output, but hey I hardly use the other pick up anyway, the 707 sounds great for anything :-) I didn't wanna spend the money gettin a second one installed cause I will probably never use it...
