EMG Install - Output Jack

In the middle of installing an 81-7 in my RG7620. Only problem is that the output jack that comes with the EMG is too short.

Can you use the stock barrel type jack that is stock on the RG7620..or are there other ways of making the EMG jack fit?

Also if you use the stocker that has a white a bare wire soldered to it...whats the equivalent wires on the EMG to attach to solder to the posts?

You need a long barrel stereo output jack for EMG's. I just installed the ZW 81/85 set. What is your email - I will send you the PDF file instructions I received from EMG.

If it's the stereo output jack On the Ibanez then you should be able to use it I think.

Re: EMG Install - Output Jack

From and email from the EMG tech guys, when I asked them teh same question.

"You can use the existing jack, as long as it has 3 terminals. The black
wire from the battery clip goes to the ring terminal."

Worked out fine for me.
