EVERYONE: Ibanez J-custom RG-8527vv...

Is there someone who has played/ owns one???
Is it good?

Tell me about the online-bying from Japan? Have the products, you have bought, been in a perfect condition?

I've thought of bying a RG-8527vv from Japan but there is a certain fear of bying equipment without seeing it first (and you know it)....
Give me some tips, please

Is $1000 good price for a new RG8527?

Thank you for your time

I own an RG8527-DBK, it is an amazing guitar. The quality of this J-Custom surpasses anything I have ever played in the U.S. My brother and I have purchased about seven guitars from Japan now. We actually prefer buying from Japan becauase the selection is better and the people are more polite and cooperative; they have provided multiple pictures of the guitars that we have purchased before we actually completed the sale. With the exception of one guitar they have all arrived in perfect condition (USPS slightly damaged one of my J-customs, though it's not that big of a deal because insurance is going to cover the replacement guitar anyway).

$1000 is a great price for a brand new RG-8527VV. I paid about $1400 (that included case and shipping to the U.S); the conversion rate from U.S dollars to Japanese Yen was pretty bad at the time I bought.

I had one of those...picked it up in Tokyo last summer. Sweet guitar...with the exception of some variation in the flame tops, the quality in all those I saw was consistent. Customer service is generally incredible in Japan, and from all I've heard, mail ordering is no exception.

I'd have to check the spec chart to confirm this, but i'm 99% sure it has the "Ultra" prestige neck profile- you're going to LOVE it. It's the msot comfortable neck i've ever played.

Definately get some pics first, but the better high-end Ibanez gutiars really are fairly consistent in build quality- you'll have to tweak the setup a little bit to get it to you're liking, but that should be about it. A lot of the guys on the site have done this with no problems.

Hi!

What is the tax rate when you for example buy a guitar (to USA) from another country?

I just found out that the tax in here is 25% + customs...

It varies. Stateside, we're hooked up- there's no import fees to speak of when ording from Hoshino. However, if you go over to England, they're in about the same shape you guys are...

Incorrect, the US charges 10% duty on imports, you just benefit from one of the biggest loopholes available today, no duty is tracked or charged on EMS Postal shipments. I don't expect that loophole to remain open forever.
