He has it listed at $2800 but I don't know what it really sold for at the time... A basic 6 string is around $2000, but the waiting list is two years.

Whew. Well, the price is good. For me living in Sweden, at least!
I guess I'll have to contact him someday. I'd love to get one of these!

Re: Everything you know about 7 strings is...
I actually dig the body design - it's interesting, looks ergoonomical, and actually looks pretty cool strapped on.
I just wouldn't be able to deal with the guy long enough to arrange payment. I'll stick to my current guitars, thanks all the same.
Kinda sorry this got bumped, as these days when a horse dies and you kick it, fifteen blokes run up to you and start yelling, "Stop talking about Zachary guitars!!!!!"

I apologize in advance..... but considering discussion of the phalic nature of the headstock in this thread I could not help but get a chuckle or two out of that

Re: Everything you know about 7 strings is...
That's ugly. Sorry, but if you want to sell guitars you need to appeal to the guitar buying public, and the amount of ridicule a gigging guitarist would suffer with an instrument that looks like that is just retarded, and don't give me the "if you can play it won't matter" bull****, as quite frankly, you'd still get laughed at, and hence your music not being taken seriously. Once seen as a joke, well, it's kind of over gig-wise. Unless, of course, you are trying to be a jokey/humourous band.
Wood may be nice, neck may play like the gods, may sound amazing, but if you want to see a guitar builder who mixes esthetics with superb instruments, then go look at blackmachine.

Re: Everything you know about 7 strings is...
Blackmachine has a cool look but they are missing the ergonomics and innovative design featurures that makes Zachary stand out. The BM guitars are simply based on Fender spec's, it says so right on thier web site. And there are those who would laugh at those eighties thin pointy
death metal
guitars as well... If I had a dime for everytime I pulled out my Ibanez and some LP tard glared and laughed I'd be at least a dollar richer!
