Actually, I'd say the opposite is true. I've been scanning the guy's page since I was in college (say, the last five years) and thought some of his designs were interesting. I even toyed briefly with the idea of grabbing one, but buying a top-dollar six that I couldn't play before purchasing when I was playing exclusively sevens kept that from more than a momentary flirtation.

It was only when the free of you guys started posting about his products here, saying how if we didn't agree wiith you we were "wrong," and had bought into the "hype" of the mainstream guitar industry, and one of you mentioning (I think it was Devo and not you but I could be wrong) that you only kept a Prestige RG around to remind you how much better your Zachary was.

Sure, you're not being directly confrontational. You're just being incredibly smug and arrogant, which at the end of the day accomplishes the same effect, and ironically (as a guy who's always liked the Z2 body, even if the headstock is god-awful) turns people OFF about Zachary guitars.

I mean, I'm not trying to be a dick or call you out or anything, and I edited the above a couple times so it didn't sound like I was trying to be hostile, though to be fair I've probably failed. So, this isn't anything personal I've gotten against any of you. I'm just trying to say, with your attitude here and the way you talk up Zachary and talk down almost everything else, is it any surprise you guys aren't being embraced with open arms?

EDIT - I mean, look at your poll here. We either like his guitars because we're mature enough to appreciate them for what they are no matter what his attitude is, or we won't buy them because 1.) the headstocks are bigger than our genitalia and thus we're not masculine enough to own one, we're broke trolls, 3.) we judge the product on our personal feelings towards the man, 4.) we only buy double locking trems with neon swirl paintjobs, or 5.) we only buy guitars with famous celebrity endorsements. Gee, and you wonder why you're seeing some heat here...

C'mon guys, the word WRONG is not even in the title and I said the poll was just for fun. I have been playing Ibanez guitars for almost 20 years, I'm not keeping these prestige guitars to just be reminded how much better the Zachary's are, If I said anything like that I was clearly joking. I don't think I have said anything really that mean to anyone on this forum, ever. Even when I was accused of being a homo and all sorts of things. I started the thread because I though that this 7 string Zachary was awesome and I wanted to share. I didn't say anything about it, just posted a picture.

I have always been an Ibanez guy. I've had my 1991 RBM-1 since it was new. Original ownwer! I play metal, and drink my koolaid spiked with Tequila, thank you. When I get my J-custom back from Tech I will have to put up a group shot of my little family of noise makers. Maybe some opinions will change about what you think I am.

You guys really should try the strings, though. I love the Zachary strings. What a difference!
