I like it. Im schocked to see EMG's in there stock. I have one of the older Revolver 7's with the sustainer and its a great guitar.

Apart from the hideous headstock I like it too. A 27" scale, EMGs, neck-thru, offset dots, & matt black finish makes it a winner in my book. Probably mega-expensive with the limited production run though. Hmmm, a quick Google found one priced at $999, not TOO bad.

Not terribly competitive price point, considering you can get an identically-spec'd (and similarly styled) Schecter for less. If they price it at a grand, they should have a Sustainer on it if they wanted to set it apart and make it worth the extra money.

You did catch that it's a limited run of 36 instruments, right? Taking that into account it's a LOT cheaper than I would have expceted.

It's alright, I've seen worse, although im not a fan of the finish, it looks like a decent 7. I'd play it.

Sure is, I also read the fine print. "Only 36 pieces made!"

Wouldn't be bad with a dfferent headstock and some Seymour or Dimarzio's in it. I like the flat black look..

Re: Fernandes 7 string baritone

So what exactly is the tuning on a 7 string baritone? I mean, is this thing so low that you would almost need a bass amp to properly amplify it without it sounding like ass? Having that low B go down a whole 5th seems ludicrous to me. I know Vai has one, but he doesn't seem to use it much at all.

No they're tuned the same as regular 7s, the extended scale is just for extra tension so that the low B has the same piano-like clarity as it does on a baritone.

Oops, guess I missed that part. That said, it makes even less sense- limited run of an instrument with what will probably become a more popular feature set for a 7-string (extended scale, EMG's) that's STILL more expensive than its direct competitor but not expensive enough to benefit their bottom line on a limited-run instrument. Maybe if they made more than 36, they could charge less. Furthermore, if rarity is ever a greater selling point than the instrument itself- it's meant for collectors, not players. Uniqueness may prove to be an exception, but Schecter's making the same freaking thing right now!

Then the word baritone seems like a very misleading word when it comes to these 7 strings if they hold the same tuning. So really any 7 string with a 27" scale is actually a baritone (such as that Agile)
