Gary Kramer (GKG) R36 Turbulence?
Are
these things
USA made? I know they were, but at the new price ($699 shipped, with hard case) I don't know if these are from somewhere else now or if they are blowing them out.
Anyone have one of these odd looking instruments? How do they play/sound/sit? The price is tempting...

I'm not sure, I was looking at a crusader as a backup guitar but idk much about them.

I doubt they are USA made. If we look at their site we'll see terms like "Born in the USA" or painted in the USA, which would probably not be used if they were actually made in the USA.
Still, I, too, am tempted. Heck for $700 it might be worth it even if it ended up as a wall decoration and a conversation piece.

Yes. There is an excellent review of that axe on SS.org.

Re: Gary Kramer (GKG) R36 Turbulence?
It does sound like a blowout, yeah. For the price I assume they are Korean. From what I've able to find around the net it looks like it has a 5 piece maple/walnut neck, a Ping trem and a mahogany body. I was hoping someone here who had owned a few guitars, maybe been playing 10 years or so had had a chance to play one. Reviews are only as good as the experience of the reviewer

Re: Gary Kramer (GKG) R36 Turbulence?
I'm cool with the shape, actually. I wish the 7 string had 2 pickups and 29 frets like the 6 string though, and not 36 frets (what?!) and a single pickup. Not that there is a flood of 7 string single coils on the market or anything, but it is certainly more flexible with a second pickup. The 6 string is also $560 on the auction site
