Goin to buy an new axe!!

Hi,...
next saturday im goin to buy a new axe!
I would like a K7. But dunno if i should really buy it.
I play Meshuggah and especially Korn
There´s also the RG7620 or the 1077XL.
How´s does the K7 sounds?
Should i buy it?

I *think* Rich himself said the K7 plays a little better than the current UV...if that's of any help

I say go for the K-7. I've played one and I think it's the best playing 7 string Ibanez makes.

I own RG7620s, UVs, and a K7. If you are looking for that much darker, lower range tone, the K7 is the way to go. The Mahogany body and Dimarzio PAFs bring out a dark, warm tone without getting too muddy.

Cheers,
Butch

I liked the K7 better than the UV, once I got that friggin U Bar yanked out. That thing is so uncomfortable. Otherwise, it's a nice guitar. I just wouldn't be caught dead on stage with that "k7" inlay.

It just pops in and out like the standard trem arm, but has two holes on the bridge to attach to. The K-7 also comes with the standard arm.

Yeah, and Munky's paw inlay, and the "Thoughtless" guitar, they have many nice custom guitars, but unfortunatly didn't incorporate any of these ideas into the K7. *shrug*

I would say go for the 1077XL, if ur gonna downtune, that guitar will definately sound alot tighter, and more crisp. And the string tension would b really good.
And I wouldn't get POD 2, I'd get the new POD XT

That's just me tho...

I finally had a really good setup done on my 7421XL and it just keeps getting better. I really can't say enough good things about the XL scale length.
