Good 7 Strings (all brands)

This might be a popular question but I'm not sure. Anyways, what are some good 7 strings that are Prestige quality from all brands?

Aside from Ibanez and a whole bunch of high end custom archtop builders... Baker makes some beatiful 7 strings and Gene Baker himself has been playing one for a couple years. Schecter USA Custom shop also make some killer 7 strings.

A good friend of mine gets Brian Moore guitars for artist's price, and has reported amazing things about the C-90 seven-string with piezos

For a list of $3,895.00, it damn well better be amazing.

I have the C7+.

The neck I believe is maple...but it's really very much a Les Paul-esque 7 string. Great guitar....HUGE sounding.

Sorry... I wasn't very clear... what's the neck profile like? Is it also much like an LP neck? Are all the Schecters pretty similar neckwise?

i own a C7 Diamond Series, and the neck profile is nice... it's not at all like an Ibanez neck, if thats what you're wodnering. It's thicker than a UV neck, and not as flat, either. It's thinner than a Strat neck, but still thicker than an Ultra neck. Actually, it's a bit like a Viper or Ultra neck, now that i think about it.
Hope that helps!!!
Oh yeah, the Dillion 7-strings are amazing!!! And cheap, too.

I haven't played alot of Scheceters....just my C7+ and a I believe a C1+. The profile is VERY Les Paul-esque. Now that I actually have a Les Paul I can verify this; it's got a whole lot of meat on it for the back of it and the front is radiused alot like the Les Pauls; nowhere near as flat as the Ibanez or ESP 7 string encks (the ESPs had the flattest radius of all the necks I've played).

It's a great axe...just a very different instrument from the Ibanez'.
